New Year's Resolution #1 - Spend More Time with God

I'm a little late in getting this post up, but it occured to me that since January is a time to reflect on all that we want to accomplish in the year ahead,  I should share my goals in hopes that you'll share yours too.  So for the next couple of weeks, I'll start Monday morning with a "Resolution Discussion".

My number 1 resolution this year is to spend more time in prayer and studying God's word.  I'm convinced that all other resolutions I have (and I tend to make a lot -- most of which are over by January 2nd or 3rd) pale in comparison to this one. If I can just stay on track in my spiritual life, all else will fall into place.

To this end, I have decided to host a giveaway of one my favorite devotional books.  The One Year Devotions for Moms (One Year Book).   A copy of this book sits beside my bed and has 365 short 1 page devotions that always inspire me.

The One Year Devotions for Moms (One Year Book)

To enter the giveaway for a copy of this book, just leave a comment on this post with one of your resolutions for this year.  For additional entries you can (a) follow my blog, (b) subscribe to my email feed and (c) follow me on Twitter.  Just be sure to leave a separate comment for each entry.  Next Monday (January 18th), I will use Random.org to choose a winner.  This giveaway is open to US residents only - age 18 and above.

So....leave me some comments....Let's share our goals for this year!!

I have 2 resolutions...one is to continue in the 40 pound weight loss I started in September 2009, and the other is to spend more quality time with my kids---turn off the computer and be with them!

One of my resolutions for last year was to read through the Bible in one year. Unfortunately, I failed. So I'm going to try again in 2010!

One of my resolutions is to not get stresses over things that are actually insignificant. So many times I place so much effort and importance on the most trivial things!! Peggy Hobby

I'm a stay-at-home mom and my goal is to start a small business and hopefully in return it will give me a social life with other adults and boost my self-esteem. It can be very overwhelming though with all the paper work involved and figuring out a business plan so my resolution for the year was to take babysteps every day (if it only be 15 minutes) to work towards this dream of mine. By the way, first time being on your website. Loved it!!
